This exhibition uniquely intertwines photography, daily life, and spatial perception. Sasaki transforms the living spaces of his subjects into camera obscuras, using a 2-centimeter pinhole and a 30-second long exposure to capture portraits. The room itself becomes a creative medium, with each artwork revealing ethereal yet authentic figures, highlighting the poetic interplay of light and shadow. The exhibition focuses on intimate household details, such as the subtle glow of appliances and traces of daily life, inviting viewers to experience photography as a multisensory and memory-linked art form. An interactive installation on site allows visitors to explore the structure of the darkroom and witness inverted projections, immersing themselves in a world of shifting light and shadow. “Scape” not only showcases technical mastery but also offers a profound artistic journey, encouraging reflection on the connections between home, time, and the flow of life.
