Fox, Dreamer & Night Waltz:Ginar Solo Exhibition
Artist Ginar Liu’s latest body of work adopts the waltz as a core metaphor, equating its whirling steps to the dynamic trajectories of life—a continuous movement of rising, drifting, and returning. At times, it is a harmonious dance with others; at others, a solitary quest for rhythm and balance.
Translating her recent insights into independence and autonomy into richly colored, meticulously detailed ceramic sculptures, Liu layers emotions and hues that flow seamlessly between nightfall and dense forests. Shifting from subtle shadows to luminous bursts, her work maintains a dreamlike, ethereal quality. Whimsical motifs—foxes, girls, crows, and stars—infuse the pieces with an innocent gaze, allowing internal emotions to wander freely between imagination and reality.
